The collaboration will allow US Defense and Intelligence agencies to "rapidly process and analyze vast amounts of complex data," improving intelligence analysis and decision-making processes. -
Officials can access Claude via the Palantir platform (which is hosted by AWS) in an Impact Level 6 (IL6) environment, which is reserved for systems dealing with "secret level" data that requires "maximum protection." -
Palantir and AWS are two, of just a handful of companies, to get a Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) accreditation which allows them to "operationalize the use of Claude" in an IL6 environment. | 馃 Why you should care: With a reported 1,200% increase in AI-related government contracts, US government agencies are becoming more and more interested in AI, and AI firms are becoming more and more interested in providing their services to these agencies, with the likes of Meta recently giving Intelligence and Defense officials access to its open-source Llama models and OpenAI reportedly in talks with the US Department of Defense. | | | | | | | | — — — — — — — | TOGETHER WITH TAPLIO | | | Use Taplio's AI—trained on over 500M posts—to outline and write 100% of your LinkedIn content. | Select your hook and format, generate the post, make edits, and schedule—all in one place. | "Taplio is the most complete solution in the market for anyone looking to grow on LinkedIn." — Justin Welsh, 658k followers and $2.39M generated on the platform | | | | | | | TRENDING TOOLS | | | | — — — — — — — | FUNDING | | | Our Report: Amazon is reportedly in talks with AI startup, Anthropic, to strike a multi-billion-dollar deal—similar to the $4B one they made in March—but in return for the funding, it wants Anthropic to use its Amazon-own-brand AI chips (Trainium chips), instead of NVIDIA's, to train its AI models. | 馃攽 Key Points: | -
Amazon wants Anthropic to use its own AI chips to reduce reliance on NVIDIA and lower costs, and the amount of funding awarded, reportedly depends on the number of Trainium chips Anthropic agrees to use. -
It made a similar deal with Anthropic earlier this year: In return for $4B in funding, Anthropic agreed to use AWS as its primary cloud provider and give AWS customers access to its future AI models. -
Although Anthropic may prefer to use NVIDIA chips—they're more reliable and provide greater flexibility when using other cloud providers—it needs the funding after forecasting $2.7B worth of costs this year. | 馃 Why you should care: These negotiations highlight the complex dynamics and power plays between AI developers and cloud providers and underscore the competing priorities within AI alliances. | | | | | | | | — — — — — — — | TOGETHER WITH INNOVATING WITH AI | | The AI consulting market is about to grow by a factor of 8X – from $6.9B to $54.7B in 2032. | But how does an AI enthusiast become an AI consultant? | How well you answer that question makes the difference between just "having AI ideas" and being handsomely compensated for your contribution to an organization's AI transformation. | Thankfully, you don't have to go it alone – our friends at Innovating with AI have welcomed 300 new students into The AI Consultancy Project, their new program that trains you to build a business as an AI consultant. | Some of the highlights current students are excited about: | -

French AI startup, Mistral, has launched a content moderation API, powered by a fine-tuned version of its micro model—Ministral 8B—to address concerns around AI safety and content filtering. -
It detects harmful raw and conversational content across nine categories—including sexual content, hate speech, violence, dangerous activities, and personally identifiable information—in English, French, and German. -
Although Mistral says the model is "highly accurate" (while admitting it's a "work in progress"), it hasn't compared its output—these types of models are susceptible to bias—to equivalent models from OpenAI and Jigsaw. | | | | | | | RECOMMENDED RESOURCES | | | |
